At AZ Studio, we are proud to have contributed to the Netflix series Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel — a visually rich romantic comedy that has reached audiences around the world since its 2025 release.
Our remote post-production team, led by senior colourist Hootan Haghshenas CSI, delivered the show’s complete colour grade and finishing, bringing cinematic warmth and emotional clarity to this global production.
Produced in Türkiye, Platonic: Blue Moon Hotel follows two sisters who run a small seaside hotel — until an unexpected guest turns their lives upside down.
The production required a cohesive, filmic visual tone, balancing Mediterranean sunlight with soft, character-driven lighting and mood.
Working remotely from Melbourne, we collaborated with the production team abroad through secure, real-time grading sessions, offering feedback and creative iteration across continents. This project demonstrates how remote post-production can bridge geography while maintaining uncompromised quality.
Guided by Hootan’s creative vision, our team shaped the show’s visual identity around three key principles:
Warmth and vibrancy: reflecting the natural tones of the coastal setting
Emotional balance: subtle contrast and colour separation for dramatic and comedic pacing
Technical precision: seamless HDR/SDR conversion for Netflix delivery
Using DaVinci Resolve and ColorFront system s in our calibrated suite, we handled complex grading, finishing, and QC across all eight episodes. The result — a show that feels consistent, cinematic, and true to its storytelling tone on every screen.
Our infrastructure allows filmmakers anywhere in the world to connect securely with our colour team and collaborate in real time. Whether via remote grade sessions, high-speed file transfers, or cloud review, we ensure that the creative process remains smooth, transparent, and artistically led.
At AZ Studio, we believe that world-class post-production isn’t about location — it’s about collaboration, vision, and trust.
